This is plant matter that is crushed and placed in a capsule, like many over the counter medications, or compressed with fillers into a pill shape and are generally easy to add into any vitamin routine. Tinctures are made by placing the plant matter into a medium or base such as alcohol or glycerin and allowed to steep for long periods of time to allow the plant’s properties to be extracted into the liquid.
